Just 1/8″ (3mm) thick, our Compact Cushion yoga mat rolls up nice and tight for maximum portability, but still provides you necessary cushion and grip. Thicker, more padded mats tend to offer more padding, but provide less balance as your hands sink deeper into the foam. They’re also substantially heavier and take up a lot of space, even when rolled up.
