Description

When the author, Rob Noyes Smith attended a Navy SEAL funeral with his Navy SEAL son his perspective shifted. Through the pain and sorrow of what he saw around him he decided “enough;” Why do we humans continue going to war after war after war? In this book, Noyes Smith explores his own warrior past, the father to son lineage and the influence of ego. This leads him to uncover the fundamental drive in men. What he refers to as the Three F’s: “Food,” a euphemism for any survival resource, such as oil. “Fight,” to do whatever it takes, including war, to secure your particular tribes survival. And we do all this for the “Future,” the genetic imperative to secure his tribal lineage. These fundamental drivers lead him to look at the resource and ideological threats in eight possible war scenarios, ultimately concluding that the greatest of all these is the financial mismanagement by the warring political parties, a condition the author believes leads to financial collapse and more war, greater war, even a nuclear world war three. But recognizing the threat is not enough. A problem without a solution is of little use. The author then goes to work on political structural solutions to save democracy from the present political swamp in Washington, while outlining the necessary financial steps that need to be taken to resurrect the union.
