This memoir is a combination of many things. From thoughts, opinions, hopes, ideas and life experiences. It contains a mixture of the young and the old and everything else under the sun. It also contains time done while being incarcerated. Some people think the eyes are the window to the soul and that life’s hardships can make you have dead eyes. We can’t let life take your glow away. You have to be strong and fight, not physically all the time, but mentally and morally. Drive is the key. So you have to find whatever drives you, and get into it. Put the “G” in front of the “O” and GO. Dont let anything take the light from your eyes. Living while being a minority is a hard road to travel. But aren’t you sick of hearing that or being told that. At first, I used to be, like, all c’mon with that. Now I feel like you can make your own way, and I don’t fully object anymore. It’s still as difficult today as it was yesterday, just not on a big scale as it once was.
