Description

The Blur is a collection of three essays that are all about events in my life that happened to pass by so quickly- one thing after the other and I had not taken the time to really reflect on my experiences. So in my memories they remained unclear like I was remembering them through eyes that needed glasses. It was important to me to change this. I wanted to make something that my late mother would be proud of, showing her that despite the way I grew up I can make something of it. It is in essence me showing how life had zoomed by me, quicker than it should have. The essays form an image of a blur or at least the sense of being unable to see clearly. From the blur I try to clear it up or at least look more closely in order toget a better idea of what was once there. I admit the weakness of my mind- that it can only remember so much and when it does it seems all jumbled up. What makes it more difficult is when these experiences occur within close proximity of each other. Together these works hopefully explore the different important and formative relationships in my life.
