Heroes’ Hearts

Description

The only sweetheart souvenir (a trinket of love, made from an artifact during wartime) from the battle of Pearl Harbor, becomes the focal point for a larger story of love in all its forms and helps a son realize that everyone can be a hero. The original telling of the story of the bracelet, known as “Two Hearts Beating as One” or “Heroes’ Hearts” is contained within this book as a transcribed interview with Sam Richiusa, from 2001 prior to the 60th Anniversary of the attack on Oahu, where he was stationed as a Marine. This tale has spawned an effort to rewrite history as well as shine a light on the power of love.
