Many words are written about the mystery of imagery fabrication. Art is too difficult a term to parse because language has always under-served this concept. But we can begin to explain the neurological functions that have egged us on to undertake this activity. This happened eons ago and in the minds of our hominid precursors. Clearly, we were not the first to experience the urge. They mastered the magnificent stone knapping of tools into bi-face and symmetrical objects of pear shaped perfection. Eons later, our direct Sapiens ancestors had a perverse obsession that drove them deep into frightening caves to make images. We maintain it is the same urge we feel today. This book suggests this impulse is the result of a deep brain phenomenon that insinuates imitation behaviors as a survival routine.
