The CFC school counseling program manual has been written for the purpose of training Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work Clinicians as well as Interns or Students on how to create and implement an effective school counseling service. This program addresses the mental, behavioral and emotional health needs of students and their families while fitting into the legal and ethical guidelines of the educational system. This program has been written to be contoured to the needs of each individual demographic area while considering the socio-economic, ethnic, cultural, religious issues that are associated with each individual school district. This program has been built and is accredited byyearly data collection as well as numerous letters of recommendation by school administrators as well twenty years of experience providing and experiencing the facilitation process of this program in the elementary schools as well as the Junior high and high school campus settings. Statistics show the number of students we serve, the types of issues we treat as well as the successful outcomes we have experienced.The recommendation is that the Cornerstone Family Counseling School Counseling Program be implemented by a Licensed Psychologist, a School Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage and Family Therapist Intern a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate or a Masters level Behavioral Specialist. This program may be used to enhance an existing School Counseling Program or may be used to facilitate a new program. It is strongly recommended that any new CFC School Counseling Program facilitator be trained by a credentialed instructor who has been certified by Cornerstone Family Counseling School Counseling instructors. Please note that each state has its own legal, ethical and mandated reporting laws and requirements It will be essential to research your state requirements before starting this program in order to adhere to the appropriate legal and ethical mandates imposed by your state.
