This manual is intended for use in the treatment of convicted sex offenders, either while incarcerated or in a community treatment program. It has been developed over many years by the author in his treatment of scores of sex offender clients. The core program includes nine tasks required of each client: (1) Life & Sexual Autobiography, (2) Ownership, (3) Victim Empathy, (4) Relapse Prevention, (5) & (6) Optional Tasks chosen by each client, (7) Restitution (8) Shame Resiliency, and (9) Final Group Review. The Ownership Task includes distinctive directions for each of four different types of offenders: (1) hands-on offenders, (2) possession/distribution of child pornography, (3) voyeurism and/or indecent exposure and (4) use of electronic means to contact a minor for sex.
