Maricela Estrada earned her AA in liberal studies from Rio Hondo College and her BA in communications from California State University Fullerton. She works as a medical case worker for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Living with mental illness propelled her to devote her life to helping others like herself. She is a public speaker dedicated to raising public awareness and decreasing the stigma associated with mental illness.
