Many factors involved with this increased burden cause a number of negative consequences, one of which is stress. Occupational stress is a very significant issue which negatively affects the individual, the family of that individual, and the employing organization This study investigated the possible relationships among gender, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and occupational stress levels. Possible interactions with gender and job satisfaction as well as gender and organizational commitment on occupational stress were also explored. Participants included employees from three organizations: an orthopedic clinic, social service office, and organ and tissue donation company.
