Fallen from Grace: How I Dealt with Character Assassination as a Result of the Gaslight Effect

Description

This is my true story about dealing with adversity in some work environments. Everything was going well until I began working in the sales industry. I kept falling into spider traps where I confronted a lot of animosity. I am not claiming I am perfect, I am far from that. However, it did not matter if I ever did well because I received a stigma I could not escape. It is my belief that I received harsher treatment for being different. The negative stress greatly weakened my immune system and I fell ill with a rare and debilitating illness called vestibular neuritis. I could not work or do much of anything for four long, grueling months. Everything was crashing down on me at once. However, it was during this gloomy time when I was sick and feeling isolated and alone, that I found a light which showed me the way out and I gained back my strength and set new goals. I decided I wasn’t going to allow the illness triggered by stress to control me, and I took control of it. I discuss what I did to get better and how I no longer fear retaliation. I have a new focus on things I enjoy, including the publication of this book. Furthermore, it is my hope that this book will bring to light sensitive issues that have remained in the dark for too long, as well as encourage some change for the betterment of society.
