As I work and talk with more and more people and families through the years, I’ve discovered that we have a lot to learn, men and women alike. Although I may put together a book, in the future, geared towards women, this book can help all who choose to read it. My research on this subject is vast and I’ve dedicated years to trying to discover what is needed to make all close relationships thrive. The characteristics that make a man a man can help carry and lead anyone to the top. In today’s society, more and more parents have to work more than one job simply to make ends meet. Where does this leave the children? It leaves them in the hands of busy daycare providers more and more of the time. Teachers and daycare providers, unfortunately, do not have the necessary one on one time needed to devote to each of these growing children. They also don’t have the opportunity to be an example in the outside world. Yes, kids can learn a lot in a classroom, but there’s a lot more to life, and if the parents aren’t around (because they are working two or three jobs) then children lose out on important life learning opportunities. What I’ve found, more and more, is that a lot of young men haven’t truly been taught how to be a man; a man of good character. We have spent far too much time looking at man from the perspective of his sexuality and not enough time looking at him as part of something greater. This book walks through the steps that look at each characteristic endowment that man inherently has and the characteristics that he can build on top of that so that he can find fulfillment in his life by pursuing his purpose more effectively. We all have dual purpose. One physical, and the other something far greater. The initial purpose is to form the basis of a family, which will launch the next generation, and to do that men must develop some of the characteristics that are based on the elements contained in the chapters of this book. This book is designed to stimulate your own thought and to come to terms with what it means to be a man in your own world. You have to look deep inside yourself and find the real meaning of YOU. Tear away all the gender roles that have been cast upon you, the bad examples you’ve experienced, the commercial advertisements that define you based on material gain, and vanity. Cast aside the superficial things that don’t matter and look at the things that really make a difference. Sage Wilcox is an author of several book and a certified energy healer and teacher.
