In 2006, Keith O. Williams wrote a paper at Liberty University on the creation of a new theory of counseling and psychotherapy based on the theories in the past. Nouthetic-Biblical Counseling (NBC) is the combination of security psychology with theory from the Bible. This theory comes from two separate theories, Nouthetic Counseling (Jay Adams) and Biblical Counseling (Larry Crabb) taken elements from each to include psychology, philosophy, and theology. The NBC Theory have been practiced by Williams during this years as a minister and was tweeted many times in the last 13 years. Now, NBC will be made public in a small book outside of the other theories that were published back in 2010. If you take some good things about both theories (Nouthetic and Biblical Counseling), you now have something new. The future of psychology is here. Get ready for the ride.
