Recapturing the Joy: A Journal for Bereaved Parents

$16.20

Description

Recapturing the Joy is a self-directed journal designed specifically for all the bereaved parents of the world. I chose to write this book, after having been thrust into the role of bereaved parent in 1984 and reaching a successful conclusion to my own grief journey over 20 years later. When one of our children dies, we not only lose them but we are also robbed of our joy of life. Recapturing the Joy is a resource to help the bereaved re-create their life in such a way that they are able to revive that joy and experience, once again, the restoration of happiness which no longer comes so easily. This is not a cathartic endeavor as I had already recaptured my joy of life before authoring this resource. I replicated my process of success for others to follow, should they wish to do so. The format of the book and journaling exercises included are designed in a non-subjective and dignified manner which make it easy for the user to connect. It is a heart-to-heart resource. If you are not a bereaved parent, I am sure you know one who is one. The number of bereaved parents in the world grows daily and it will always be that way. The grief journey of a bereaved parent is a painfully difficult and quite often, a lengthy process. Once completed to a successful conclusion; however, it is a declaration of who you are. When gifted to a bereaved parent, a win-win for both the gifter and the recipient has been activated. Much love Deborah
