Projective and other techniques were used in studying the children’s relations.The subjects for Marian Radke’s investigation were 543 children enrolled in the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Welfare, together with their parents. The children’s ages ranged from 3 years and 10 months to 5 years and 10 months.Analysis of the data obtained from these children and their parents has been carefully directed toward reaching a clearer understanding of the young child’s perception of complex social relationships and of the role of the home in the social behavior of the child.
