Who am I?



I am the son of immigrant parents who valued education. Their values resulted in my B.S. in chemistry, medical school with graduation honors and a three-year fellowship at the prestigious Menninger School of Psychiatry. What followed was 50 years of psychotherapy practice and a professorship at Yale University College of Medicine, where I ran the training program at one of their teaching hospitals. I have studied with the outstanding therapists of my times, Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, Carl Whittaker, Milton Erickson, Al Lowen, and have pursued many alternative therapies. I love helping people and wonder about the true nature of humankind, what is hardwired and what is embedded. I wonder why we suffer and constrict ourselves. I wonder how as a separate individual I can help others on their healing journey. I am honored that people trust me to assist them on that journey.
