Description

Reasoning Skills is a homework program designed to help people under correctional supervision get what they want – in ways that do not later cause them (and other people) problems. Each of the 12 lesson asks them questions and they write their answers on a piece of paper that they themselves supply. Correctional staff will then discuss the papers with the clients. Reasoning Skills will help increase the client’s thinking skills by showing them ways to manage their emotions and effectively solve problems. Reasoning Skills was developed by Russ Fry, M.A., who retired after 33 years in Iowa Community Corrections.
