Scars: Creative Approaches to Understanding and Coping with Self-Mutilation

$17.06

Description

Scars is designed for people struggling with self-mutilation as well as clinicians who are seeking alternative interventions for their clients. The theme is based on narrative therapy, and will explore how clients can “express” their current life story through alternative means as well as re-appraise their situations and find new coping mechanisms for emotions or pathology. Includes case examples of clients who have gone through group intervention to treat their self-mutilating behaviors, as well as additional resources. Sara Martino, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychology in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Richard Stockton College. She teaches an array of courses including Abnormal Psychology, Experimental Psychology, and Gender and Aggressive Behavior.
